The Saint Francis faculty is a dynamic group of highly-qualified, dedicated educators. In the spirit of our Holy Cross mission to educate the whole person, our faculty are not only creative and passionate classroom teachers, but also enthusiastic coaches and moderators in our extensive extra-curricular program. This philosophy of education- to engage our teachers and students in all aspects of the education of a child- creates relationships that extend far beyond the high school years and well into the future. Saint Francis teachers serve not only as educators, but as role models and mentors for our students.
All of our teachers are educated and trained in their teaching fields; over half the faculty has earned advanced degrees. The vibrant academic curriculum is reflective of the creative faculty who annually review and propose new courses in response to new technologies and new topics in a global environment. Most importantly, our faculty has an open-door policy, assisting students individually during collaboration as well as after school.
When Saint Francis students are asked what makes their school special, their most consistent response is their love for their teachers. Perhaps this can best be articulated by a senior student:
On the first day of class my freshman year, I was overwhelmed by the passion my teachers had for their subjects. In my four years, I have never ceased to be amazed and inspired by the energy and enthusiasm my teachers bring to the classroom.
