Students gain a respect for the intrinsic value of other cultures and understand the similarities and differences of various cultures. Students gain skills in reading, writing, critical thinking and oral proficiency.
For all level three and higher foreign language courses, students who do not meet the written prerequisites may become eligible to enroll in the course through commitment to a summer enrichment or review program which increases proficiency in the language.
