When is the application due? Hide

January 11, 2008 is the due date. Applications received after January 11 are considered late. Please remember that our online company is located on the East Coast so applications should be submitted no later than 9:00 p.m. on January 11.

How can I retrieve my username and password for the online application? Hide

Saint Francis uses an online application processed by infosnap, an online information processing company for schools. If you have problems remembering your password or username, please contact infosnap directly at: (866) 986-1601 ext. 260.

When is the financial aid application due? Hide

February 1, 2008. Please contact the Business Office (mapozos@sfhs.com, or 650-968-1213, ext 440) for more information.

What are the dates for the HSPT test? Hide

January 5 and 19, 2008 are the dates Saint Francis gives the test. The test may be offered on different dates at different locations in the San Francisco Diocese.

How do I sign up for the HSPT test? Hide

The test signup is included in the online application. Once your application is submitted, you are automatically signed up for your test date. If you prefer the first date, January 5, your application should be submitted by the end of December. For the January 19test date, your application should be submitted by the January 11 due date. Your student needs to arrive at the testing site no later than 8:45 a.m. and the test is over at 12:15 p.m.

When are the acceptance letters mailed? Hide

March 14, 2008. All the schools in the San Jose Diocese mail their letters on this date. A copy of the HSPT results will be mailed with the decision letter.

What are the criteria for admission to Saint Francis High School? Hide

The Admissions Committee considers the following:

  • Grades from 7th and 8th Grade
  • School and Teacher Recommendations
  • Entrance Exam (HSPT) Scores
  • Interview
  • Student Involvement Survey
How many students apply to Saint Francis each year? Hide

Saint Francis generally receives 1200 – 1300 applications for a projected freshman class of 420 students.

What is the school’s ratio of boys and girls? Hide

Saint Francis maintains a 50/50 ratio between boys and girls.

What is the school’s ratio of Catholic and non-Catholic students? Hide

Saint Francis maintains a 70/30 ratio between Catholic and non-Catholic students.
