HSPT Entrance Exam for the Class of 2012

The entrance examination for the schools listed below is offered on two designated Saturdays. Applicants applying to more than one Catholic high school in the San Jose or San Francisco Dioceses may take the exam only once.

The HSPT administered throughout the San Jose Diocese is the same test administered by the San Francisco Diocese and the results may be shared with those schools.

Students should take the examination at the school they are most interested in attending. We hope that you consider taking the test here at Saint Francis. Scores will be sent to additional high schools as requested by the applicant on the day of the entrance exam.

These tests are administered to incoming freshmen in April and May of their 8th grade year. Tests are given for English 1-Accelerated, Geometry or higher-level math, level 2 or higher in Spanish, French or Chinese.

The computer literacy test is also given to demonstrate competency in that area and thereby fulfill the graduation requirement. Students are invited to take these exams based on their performance on the HSPT. More information about these exams will be included in your acceptance packet mailed home in the spring.
