Thank you for your interest in attending Saint Francis High School. Admission to Saint Francis High School is based on a number of criteria: grade point average in college preparatory classes and positive remarks on the Recommendation forms from your current school. Other considerations for admissions include the availability of appropriate space and classes and the maintenance of our Catholic/non-Catholic student ratio.
As a prospective transfer student please follow the procedures listed below:
- The completed application (with the exception of the recommendation forms) should be mailed to Saint Francis High School along with the $75 non-refundable application fee. Please attach a recent photo to your application. Information should be received as soon as possible, but no later than April 15, 2013.
- Request an official transcript from your current school indicating courses completed and grades earned and mail progress reports/quarter grades for this current semester. We will also need proof of residency, (a copy of a PG&E bill, etc., will suffice).
- A recommendation form should be given to the following four staff members: your English and Math teachers, your Counselor and the Vice Principal of Discipline. Please ask them to return the completed forms to Saint Francis High School at their earliest convenience.
- If Catholic, please submit a copy of your Baptismal certificate and take the Religious Affiliation form to your parish to be completed.
No application will be considered until above procedures have been completed.
All applicant profiles are prioritized based on the criteria mentioned above. The Admissions Committee will review the applicant pool and decisions generally occur in the months of May, June, July and August (as space permits).
