Choirs sing their farewells for the year

The music of Rodgers and Hammerstein, the Beach Boys and Mendelssohn was celebrated May 13, as the Saint Francis concert and chamber choirs performed their final show, titled “Happy Trails to You,” for the community. The choir received a rating of superior, the highest rating, for their performance at the CMEA.

Saint Francis romps to CCS Division II title with sweep capping off a record-setting year for the Lancers, winning the first boys volleyball West Catholic Athletic League title and first CCS championship in school history, finishing off the season with a staggering 40-5 record overall. Saint Francis bands play final concert

The Saint Francis concert, symphonic and jazz bands performed their farewell show to an appreciative crowd May 6. Among one of the selections the symphonic band played was an original composition scored by senior Scott Jespersen. Scott, at the piano, led his fellow students in the world premiere of “The Ascension.”
