Lancers Undefeated in WCAL

The Saint Francis soccer team defeated Saint Ignatius 1-0 to remain undefeated and in first place in the WCAL with a 8-0-3 league record. Despite aggressive pressure by the Wildcats, Saint Francis controlled play the majority of the game and was finally able to break their press when sweeper Jason Shelton '12 sent a long pass to midfielder Peter Marsden '12. Marsden was able to send a chip pass to Emilio Huerta '13 who beat the Saint Ignatius defense for the game's only goal. Lancer goalkeeper Jake Silva recorded his tenth shutout in WCAL play. The Lancers lead the tough WCAL by four points with three games remaining.
