2012-2013 Drama Season Announced

Drama director Laura Rose has announced the two main stage shows for the school year: the fall drama will be “Chicago the Play” (Nov. 8-10, 15-17) and the spring musical will be “Legally Blonde” (April 12-13, 18-20).
In selecting these two shows, Ms. Rose said both are productions with many roles for students, and “Legally Blonde,” with its many set changes, can also provide opportunities for the tech crew to learn and be challenged.
In addition to the fall and spring shows, the drama department offers more productions for students to be involved. The Christmas show is a sketch comedy show that is written and performed by students. The Drama Showcase is a theater revue show, where students can sing, dance, perform scenes and monologues, and direct one another.
Ms. Rose encouraged students to get involved and welcomed new drama students to the Saint Francis theater family.
“This is where we can be supportive of one another and work with each other to put on something great,” she said.
