SFHS Band Camp 2017

Sunday, July 30 @SFHS    10:00am-4:00pm    FULL BAND

All new students will go through an orientation while the full band rehearses out on the field. Freshmen will get to meet the Band Leadership, go through icebreaker games, and get an introduction to visual marching basics. Students will end the day with all of the necessary skills for a fun and successful band camp. Lunch is provided.

Monday-Wednesday, July 31 to Aug 2 @SFHS    9:00am-8:00pm    FULL BAND

The focus for these days is on team building, solidifying skills and to begin learning the field show. Mornings are dedicated to visual marching basics and learning drill, while afternoons will be focused on music. Auditions for front ensemble and drumline will be held during the morning/afternoon. The evening will be spent doing family bonding activities, including a movie night, talent show, and other fun events. Lunch and dinner are provided.


Thursday, August 3 @ Santa Cruz    9:45am-8:00pm    FULL BAND

The band will spend a fun day bonding with their sections at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. We will be meeting in the SFHS Band Room in the morning and taking buses over to the beach. Lunch is on your own, but we will have a band BBQ for dinner at the beach.

Friday, August 4 @ SFHS    9:00am-7:00pm   FULL BAND

The band will have rehearsal in the morning and afternoon. There will be a Freshmen Parent meeting at 5:00pm in the Band Room, followed by a preview performance on the football field and a potluck. Lunch is provided for the students.

Band Camp Fee: $225

This covers the trip, meals, and camp staff costs.  Please RSVP by returning a check made payable to SFHS (1885 Miramonte Ave, Mountain View CA, 94040 Attn: Music Department) with the attached permission slip and emergency info form by Tuesday, July 18th. Mail to Music Department/Javier Cerna. Contact Mr. Cerna if financial assistance is needed.

If your child has allergies to any foods, please include that information in mailing.
