To experience the bliss and relief of the Christmas break, students have to make it through finals week first. For many, that means hours of studying, but for the mock trial team, in the midst of their preparation for exams, members volunteered at a local farm and reaffirmed their commitment to serve the community.
The mock trial team helped the staff at Full Circle Farms in Sunnyvale cultivate the land and prepare for the new planting season. They hauled compost and planted seeds. The students were thankful for the experience, which was equal parts team-building and a break from studying.
“I had a chance to get to know more people in mock trial and decompress at the same time,” said senior Sarah Hess.
