Congratulations to freshman Mate Aranyosi, whose designs for a 2030 concept car landed him among the top 10 finalists in an automotive design competition for high school students.
Mate, who created a Chevrolet adventure vehicle, sought to strike a balance between practicality and style in his car of the future.
“Cars are meant to be more than something that goes from A to B. They should be well-designed and should connect with the drivers because we spend so much time in our cars,” said Mate, who has also applied his eye for design as a member of the Lancer robotics team.
He is grateful to Mr. Gaeta who first drew Mate's attention to this contest and encouraged him throughout the process.
