Lancer volunteers spruce up family shelter

Several members of the Lancer community showed their care and support for those living on the margins. They came together recently for Family Service Day to clean and spruce up a shelter that provides vital transitional housing for homeless families.

Parents, students and alumni volunteered their time to refresh the LifeMoves Villa property. They weeded, cleaned up a children’s play yard, organized the kitchen pantry, sorted donated clothes -- helping where they could to give the residents a welcoming and dignified place to live.

“It felt good to see the progress we made at LifeMoves,” said volunteer Michelle (Soubrand) Seger ’84.
