    Today is a Gold 1 Day Schedule

    • We would like to welcome the students who are visiting our school today with the shadow program. We hope you have a great day!
    • TODAY International Club is hosting the annual Fall Fair at both lunches with dances, henna art and international desserts. Everyone is invited to come join us in the Quad by the Cafeteria and celebrate with us. Don't forget to bring $2 to enjoy the celebration!
    • Here is a message from the Chaplain’s Office: This Wednesday morning at 8:15 a.m. in the Quad around the statue of the Holy Family, Father Tony and Brother Sam will bless all the Fall athletes and their coaches. Everyone is welcome to the ceremony.
    • Students are invited to Morning Prayer every morning from 7:20 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. in the Chapel. You’re always welcome, even if you’re late. Mass is celebrated every Wednesday morning at 7:00 a.m. We especially want to extend an invitation to students. If you have something or someone special you would like us to pray for, please let Father Tony or Ms. Ruebusch know. Your intentions will be placed on the altar and will be prayed for daily. Refreshments are always available in the Chaplain's Office following prayer and Mass. Come to the Chapel and enjoy rest, relaxation, peace and prayer. It is a sanctuary prepared especially for you.
    • Tomorrow during Second Lunch, Washington University, St. Louis will be in the Counseling Office. Reminder to all seniors - if you are applying early to any college, teacher and counselor rec folders are due on Friday October 3.
    • Please join us for the first iFamily meeting of the year on Wednesday in Room 201 during first lunch and second lunch.
    • Attention Shakespeare Club members and interested students - the club will meet this Friday at both lunch periods. We will finalize plans for Valley of the Heart this Sunday and begin to take deposits for the Ashland trip.
    • Attention Hip Hop Club, there will be a Hip Hop Workshop on Friday October 3 after school in the Cafeteria. We will be having a guest choreographer and pizza afterwards. See you there!
    • Attention Lancers: Are you struggling in a class? Do you feel like you are falling behind? Good news, peer-tutoring with the CSF club has officially begun. If you would like free peer-tutoring for any subject you may drop by room 201 during every collaboration to work with a peer-tutor, or you can be matched with a peer-tutor and work with that person whenever it’s convenient for you. Please stop by the Guidance and Counseling office to see Mrs. Jorgenson or send her an email and she will help you find a tutor.
    • The Stock Market Club will meet at both lunches tomorrow. All new members are invited to come to the Sobrato Commons with their lunches. See you all tomorrow in Sobrato Commons. Make some money – meet some new friends!
    • School Pictures are in! If you ordered pictures on Registration Day or Make-Up Picture Day please come to the Activities Office today to pick up your pictures. Also, there is a FINAL Make-Up Picture Day this Wednesday October 1 starting at 7:45 a.m. in the Performing Arts Green Room.
    • It's Banned Books Week at the Library. Celebrate the freedom to read by taking the Banned Books Quiz. Visit the Library or go to the Library web page to get the quiz. Submit your answers and enter a drawing for a Starbucks or Jamba Juice gift card. Two winners will be chosen. Contest ends this Wednesday October 1.
    • The Girls’ Varsity Cross Country team dominated while winning the Division 2 race at the prestigious Stanford Invitational on Saturday. Sophomore, Emily Skahill led the Lancers to a new school record team time and the team championship. They broke the previous record by 5 minutes with each person on the team lowering their previous best by one minute each. Congratulations to Emily, Julia Bounds, Melissa Seaman, Gia Kim, Hannah Kim, Carla Cornillon and Barb Zhao. The JV team took 2nd place at the Westmoor Invitational behind the 4th place finish of senior, Emma Phelps, 9th place finish by Rachel Redelfs and 10th place by Rebecca Campbell. The Frosh Soph team was led by Carly Trent and Madeleine Coli as they led their team to a 6th place finish. Congratulations girls!

    • Our Co-ed Double-Elimination Flag Football Team Tournament continues all this week on our new practice field. Captains, please organize your best roster team for on-time performance by checking in with your moderators at the start of your lunch period. Good luck to all teams contending for the championship!

    • Hey Outdoor Co-ed Soccer Fans! Dust off your soccer shoes and find five friends of both genders, develop a creative and appropriate soccer-style team name, and get an entry page from Activities or Mr. Dinneen in the Quad, and submit your entry into the mix for our upcoming Double-Elimination Co-ed Outdoor Soccer Team Tournament starting Thursday October 16. Remember, you can be on two teams in different lunch periods, but not on two teams in the same lunch period. Get your entries in by Friday October 10 at noon to be eligible for our upcoming Co-ed Outdoor Soccer tournament!
