We invite you to become involved in the Saint Francis community. As a parent of a Saint Francis student, you are automatically a member of the Men’s or Women’s Club. Volunteering at Saint Francis helps you become familiar with the school community and meet parents of your child’s classmates. Depending on your availability and interests, there are countless ways to volunteer! Read the descriptions below to learn more about the volunteer opportunities at Saint Francis. Men’s & Women’s Clubs
Volunteer Opportunities
The following briefly describes many of the Men's & Women's Club activities. Volunteers can help plan events or work at the activities. Both roles are vital and provide a way to have fun while meeting other parents and becoming part of the Saint Francis community.
Area Connection
Help to communicate with and provide information to families of incoming students based on geographical areas and attend welcoming coffees.
Christmas At Our House
Premiere holiday home tour held Thursday evening and Friday and Saturday during the day the first week in December. A major fundraiser, which requires numerous volunteers in many roles. Volunteer Opportunity Descriptions
Concessions
Help sell snacks at Lancer games.
Grammar School Ambassadors
Be a liaison between Saint Francis and your grammar school.
Father-Son Communion Breakfast
Help plan a special Sunday morning Mass and brunch for sons and dads.
Freshman Parent Welcome Coffee
The Women's Club hosts five welcome receptions in August for new parents. New homes are needed each year.
Health Room
The room is staffed 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Volunteers work one, two or three days a month. Volunteers with a health care background are preferred.
Hospitality
Set up food and drinks for school or Women's Club events.
Lancer Auction
Major fundraiser sponsored by the Development Office. Many jobs available.
Lancer Locker
A "store" offering Saint Francis logo merchandise. Choose to work Tuesday, Thursday or Fridays at school or at sports events and Women's Club meetings. All proceeds go to student financial aid.
Magazine Drive
Help tally money and prize tickets.
Mother-Daughter Event
Help plan a special Sunday morning Mass and brunch for daughters and moms. Decorate on Saturday.
Mother-Son Event
Help with informal fun on a Sunday evening for sons and moms.
Office Volunteers
Jobs include: Mailings, copying, secretarial work or data entry.
President's Club Dinner
Help decorate for the celebration to honor the generosity given to Saint Francis by parents and friends.
Princess Project
Help collect prom dresses, set up a boutique and help girls pick out their dress.
Saint Francis Scrip
An easy but important fundraiser of prepaid scrip for supermarkets, department stores, restaurants and many other stores and services. Saint Francis receives a percentage of all sales. Work at school, Women's Club meetings.
Scholarship Golf Classic
Help plan the golf tournament.
SF Kickoff BBQ
Help plan and serve food before the first home football game.
Staff Appreciation Lunch
Help plan and serve lunch in honor of the SF staff.
Retreat
Help with preparation of the retreat on Ash Wednesday.
Women's Dinner Events
Help with dinner held in the fall and spring for all moms followed by a speaker or presentation.
Women's Honor Dinner
Help with dinner to honor all Saint Francis mothers, with special recognition of senior moms and the installation of incoming Women's Club officers.
