Attention all Interact Club members - there will be a mandatory club meeting this Thursday February 23 at both lunches. Early lunch meets in Portable 3 and Late Lunch in Portable 1. There will be a special guest speaker from the Firelight Foundation to share with us about the charity we are fundraising for this year. There will also be important information about other events including the March ipad raffle here on campus. Bring your lunch and be on time!

Stand Up! Speak Up! will be hosting guest speaker Dr. Holz of the Himalayan Cataract Project this Thursday, February 23, from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. in Malcolm Center. Dr. Holz has worked in the eye camps in the mountains of Nepal to bring sight back to many patients who have cataracts, a common form of blindness. He will be speaking to Saint Francis students and staff about his experience being a doctor in the field, how you can contribute to the Himalayan Cataract Project, and how you can experience firsthand, working with a doctor in Nepal! This presentation is mandatory for all Stand Up! Speak Up! members. Service Club, Bric Chicks, Bric Brothers, Interact, and International Club will all be giving club credit to those who attend! There will also be free cookies, cupcakes, etc. Please attend!!!

In honor of the upcoming Academy Awards, Mindframes Classic Movie Series will continue THIS AFTERNOON at 5:00 p.m. in Room 504. We will be watching Casablanca. Set in unoccupied Africa during the early days of World War II, an American expatriate meets a former lover, with unforeseen complications. Come out and join us, eat pizza, and expand your cultural literacy with an old movie you can talk to your great-grandparents about!!

The 13th Annual Run for Zimbabwe Orphans and Fair is Sunday, April 1 at Saint Joseph School. If you want to keep fit while raising funds for an orphanage in Makumbi then you’ll want to participate is this annual event. Signups and more information are available in the Activities Office.

Due to our Liturgy Day we will not be hosting our skills competition contest today. We will continue with the Free Throw Contest starting at both lunch periods on Thursday. It will be your last chance to sign up to compete. Contestants still in the competition, check in with your moderators at the start of your lunch period. We have a five way tie at Late Lunch with 8/10. We will have a playoff round starting on Thursday.
