    Today is a Brown 2 Day Schedule

    • Here is an important announcement: Please note that starting today, students will be unable to get to the Aquatics Classroom by using the back exit of Raskob Gym. Construction in this area is limiting the Raskob exit to an "Emergency Exit Only". Students who have class today in the Aquatics Classroom will need to do get to class by going around the theater to the backside of the pool.
    • You have your yearbook, so now there's just one school publication left to get! Mindframes, the Saint Francis literary magazine that publishes student and faculty writing, art, and photography will be on sale THIS WEEK during lunch on Wednesday and Friday in the Quad. The cost of the magazine is $5, but will bring you a lifetime of joy.
    • Attention Juniors and Seniors: Campus Ministry is accepting applications for junior and senior retreats. These fill up quickly so make sure you sign up. Applications are on the Campus Ministry webpage under retreats. See Mrs. Franco with any questions.
    • Attention all students interested in helping at liturgies this year! We will have a training for Readers today at both lunches and a training for Eucharistic Ministers on Wednesday. Both trainings will be in the chapel.
    • Chamber Choir Auditions will be held in the band room today after school beginning at 3:30 p.m. Students may sign up on the sheet posted in the Band Room and read about the audition process.
    • Any freshmen girls interested in joining Women of BRIC, there's a meeting in 401 tomorrow morning at 8:20 a.m.
    • Are you interested in being a board member of the math team? Applications are on edline. Last day to submit an application is Friday August 29 at 3pm. Our first meeting will be on Wednesday Sept 3 during collaboration in room 302.
    • Everyone, freshmen through seniors, who are interested in joining the Lancer Science Bowl team for this year, please join us for an informational meeting and first practice on Wednesday after school. We will meet at 2:20 p.m. in Mrs. Segal's room (Room 110). We look forward to seeing you there!
    • There will be a Photography Club meeting tomorrow at 7:45 a.m. in Room 525.
    • To all those scheduled to audition for the fall show (TAMMY: A Coming of Age Story About a Girl Who is Part T-Rex): This week's auditions will take place in the Little Theater, NOT the Performing Arts Center.If you haven't signed up to audition yet, it's not too late. Sign up in the Activities Office or with Ms. Stapleton.
    • Here is your Street Eats Update! Today Lancer Café will be serving Beef Brisket with Horseradish sauce, mashed potatoes and roasted parsnips and carrots. Beef Spinach and Couscous is today’s soup.
    • Attention Lancers interested in joining the Saint Francis Robotics Team! We will be having our first general meeting today after school in Study Room 1. Stay for an hour after school for an overview of the team and a tour of the lab.
    • The Anime Club welcomes everyone to our first meeting today after school in Room 403.
    • The National Honor Society, which recognizes students for outstanding scholarship, character, leadership and service, is now accepting applications for new membership. To apply, you must be a junior or senior with a cumulative weighted GPA of at least 3.5 and a weighted GPA of 3.5 or higher from the previous semester. Additionally, all applicants should have a clear academic and disciplinary record over the past calendar year. Pick up applications in the Activities Office and submit them there or to Ms. Nassir in Counseling no later than this Friday, August 29. This is a hard deadline! Existing members need not re-apply. See Ms. Nassir if you have any questions.
    • This is a reminder that the CSF Application period is in progress. Students must re-apply for membership every semester. The online application is due by this Friday, August 29. Only juniors and seniors are eligible to apply for membership at this time.
    • Attention Freshmen: This is a friendly reminder to complete your Green Connection Ticket and turn it into your counselor. The ticket is due by this Friday August 29.
    • Service Club is now taking board member applications. Any sophomore, junior or senior may apply. Applications are available in Activities or with Ms. Walsh in 624.
    • Attention Shakespeare Club members and interested students - the club will hold its first regular meeting on Wednesday at both lunch periods in the Activities meeting room. Bring your lunch and find out what exciting activities we have planned for the year. We are starting the year with a screening of the great Italian film Cinema Paradiso on the Tuesday after Labor Day, preceeded by pizza. Pizza at 5:30 p.m., film at 6:00 p.m., done by 8:30. p.m.
    • Attention all fall student athletes. There will be a mandatory meeting for all fall athletes this week with Mr. Pilawski. All male student athletes will meet on Thursday August 28 right after the last bell (2:35 p.m.) in the Performing Arts Center. All female student athletes will meet on Friday August 29 right after the last bell (2:15 p.m.) in the Performing Arts Center. Please come from your last period of the day to the meeting. You can get changed for practice after the meeting. Thank you.
    • Here is your Intramural Update!
    • Hey Coed Flag Football Fans! Find five friends of both genders, form a flag football team with a catchy football themed name, and get an entry sheet from the Activities Office or drop by Mr. Dinneen's room to enter the upcoming Double Elimination Co-ed Flag Football Team Tournament starting next week. We will be taking entries till this Friday at 12:00 p.m. and Mr. Dinneen will be meeting with all the team captains next Wednesday at the start of their lunch period to review rules and schedules.
    • Remember, if you have different lunch periods, you can play on two different teams, but you may not be on two teams at the same time in the same lunch period.
    • Get involved! Coed Intramural Flag Football..... The place to be!
