Marching Band

The Lancer Marching Band plays a vital role in nourishing Saint Francis spirit. It is the largest performance ensemble at Saint Francis High School and consists of all the members of the band program. The Marching Band performs at all home football games (as well as some away games), basketball games, school rallies, parades and some private parties and school events. The Marching Band and includes a Drumline that performs with the band at rallies and special events.

Students are required to participate in all Marching Band activities and practices unless excused by a physician. All Marching Band members are also required to attend Band Camp at the end of each summer.The Marching Band rehearses on Wednesday nights from 5:30 - 8:30 pm. (unless otherwise noted) and on occasional Saturdays on the football field.

Marching Band Uniform

All students will be measured (or re-measured) for their Marching Band uniforms during summer Band Camp. At this time, all Symphonic Band boys will also be measured for their concert tuxedos and Symphonic Band girls for their dresses.

Band Color Guard

The Saint Francis Color Guard is a group of energetic, committed Lancers who join the marching band in a display of musicianship and talent. It was started in 2003.

The SFHS Band Color Guard practices and performs with the band weekly and before the crowd in the pre-game show, as well as in the big Homecoming half-time show, and in various parades. Not only do they dance, but they also incorporate use of the Tall Flag as the main part of every routine.
