Choir
The Choir Program at Saint Francis offers four levels of academic classes and a lively extracurricular schedule. The ensembles stage several community performances, participate in school liturgies and compete at local festivals. This is a vibrant program with unique vocal ensembles and opportunities for performance. Our travels have taken us to Southern California, NYC, Australia and Italy.
Choral Ensembles
Concert Choir
Concert Choir is an academic class, non-audition class that meets during the school day. We perform four times each year as well as compete in the CMEA choral festivals. There are no requirements to enroll in Concert Choir other than a willingness to sing!
Chamber Choir
Chamber Choir membership is by audition only. If you are interested in a challenging vocal experience please feel free to contact the Choral Director, Mrs. Margaret Durando. This choir performs with Concert Choir, Liturgy Band and String Ensemble throughout the year.
Additional Ensembles
Liturgy Band is an ensemble whose soul purpose is to prepare for all school liturgies including Collaboration Masses and all student body Masses. Liturgy Band shares liturgies with members of the Chamber Choir and String Ensemble at a variety of school and community events.
String Ensemble is a supplement to the Chamber choir. Students who play with this after school ensemble perform at all choral concerts. The Strings accompany both choirs as needed as well as perform on their own for school and community events.
