- LIGHT THE WAY
Starting in July, several buildings on campus will generate electricity from solar energy.
More than 60 years ago, the Brothers of the Holy Cross journeyed to Mountain View to found a Catholic school for boys. Led by God and inspired by the Blessed Basil Moreau life’s work, they created a campus and a community — and a path of possibilities.
In 1955, as the region was quickly changing from agriculture to industry, the small school flourished. With patience and care, the Brothers were lighting the way.
Our educators continue to model their example, lighting the way for students by teaching, coaching and encouraging personal growth. In turn, our students and alumni alike use the lessons they’ve learned at Saint Francis to solve challenges and benefit their communities. And Saint Francis serves as a beacon of light in the Silicon Valley and across the Holy Cross network as we strive to exemplify the importance of a values-based education.
Light the Way: Advancing Saint Francis High School, our new comprehensive fundraising campaign, continues this enduring cycle. This fall, we launch our multi-year, $100 million campaign to ensure that Saint Francis students and educators have the tools and resources they need to make a transformative impact. We are raising funds for modern facilities for learning, educational excellence and tuition assistance endowment.

Our new Innovation Center will give Saint Francis an opportunity to think creatively about how we use campus space.
