June 20, 2019 Alumni,
I would like to welcome the Class of 2019 to these email updates. Summer is in full swing at Saint Francis and our teachers and coaches are inspiring a younger group of students attending academic and athletic camps. Freshman Experience is also in session for the incoming SFHS Class of '23. Many of these new students on campus bear familiar names and faces, giving our staff an opportunity to guess which alumni are their relatives. It's always fun to welcome alumni in their new roles as parents back on campus!
Another new face on campus is our new President, Jason Curtis. Though Jason officially begins his presidency on July 1st, he has already begun acclimating to the Lancer family. I know Jason is excited to meet alumni at upcoming events.
On Thursday, June 27th, the Saint Francis Alumni Association hosts our third Alumni Social at Tank18 in San Francisco. All alumni who RSVP by June 21st get a complimentary drink ticket and raffle ticket. Feel free to bring a friend and enjoy a fun night out at this truly San Franciscan urban winery.
If you graduated from a class that ends with "9," it's time to get ready to celebrate a reunion on campus. Saint Francis will host a Grand Reunion for the Holy Cross Class of '69 and the Saint Francis Classes of '59, '69, '79, '89, '99 and '09. The event includes an open wine and beer bar, private dinners for each class, music, dancing and a night of celebrating. For more information and to register with discounted pricing, visit sfhs.com/reunion2019 today. Please let us know if you would like to join the reunion committee for your class.
Save the date for the perennial favorite SF Kick-Off BBQ in the Quad on September 13th. Also note that alumni can request a Little Lancers onesie for their baby by sending an email to LittleLancer@sfhs.com. If you have not yet had the chance to make your annual gift to the Alumni Endowed Scholarship Fund, our fiscal year ends on June 30th. Please consider making a gift of any size to support deserving students at sfhs.com/alumnigiving18. Wishing you a restful and enjoyable summer.
