Alumni,
Saint Francis representatives, including President Jason Curtis, Sal Chavez, Dan Quinn '87, Katie Mitchell '08 and myself, reflected on the writings of Blessed Basil Moreau during a two day Holy Cross Educators retreat recently. Along with delegates from our west coast sister schools, Moreau Catholic and Notre Dame Sherman Oaks, we examined our shared Holy Cross mission and legacy. The collaborative retreat provided information and inspiration to advance the Brothers' vision of Holy Cross Virtues in Action.
The 37th Annual Lancer Auction, Rockstar Knights, takes center stage on Saturday, April 4th at SF Lancer Lands (a.k.a. Saint Francis campus). Special thanks to my classmate Gina Baciocco Baldwin '83 for her extensive contributions as chair of this event. You won't want to miss this fun party, featuring a live band and plenty of great items up for bid. Visit the Lancer Auction page for information and registration.

Saint Francis honors the legacy of Matt Manoukian '01 at the 7th Annual Captain Matthew Manoukian '01 Memorial Crab Feed on Saturday. Matt's life is emblematic of the Holy Cross mission of service to others. The recipient of two Purple Hearts, two Navy-Marine Corps Commendation Medals, and two Combat Action Ribbons, Matt died in the line of duty while serving in Afghanistan. We are grateful for his parents, Pete and Pattie, and brothers, Michael '03 and Martin '09, for their ongoing efforts raising funds for the Matthew Manoukian '01 Endowed Scholarship Fund, continuing the family tradition of helping others in need. Thanks to the hard work by Manoukian family and friends and the SFHS Endowment Committee, the event is sold out. Please contact Mike Speckman at mikespeckman@sfhs.com if you would like to contribute to the Manoukian Scholarship Fund.
Saint Francis is looking for Holy Cross Alumni Interns who are recent college graduates and are ready to take on new challenges and give back to their Lancer community while completing a ten month, paid internship. We have exciting opportunities at the intersection of social justice and equity, socio-emotional development, innovation and leadership. Alumni interns have worked with Institutional Advancement, Counseling, Campus Ministry and in our classrooms. We are committed to placements that are mutually beneficial to our interns and our school. The Holy Cross Alumni Internship Program offers a stipend, ongoing mentorship, and invaluable work experience. Reach out to meighanfriedsam@sfhs.com to apply for this great opportunity.
On behalf of our students, I extend my heartfelt thanks to the supportive alumni who have given to the Alumni Class Endowed Scholarship Fund. Gifts of any size are greatly appreciated because they get combined with gifts from all classmates to maximize their impact. It is heartwarming to see the gratitude expressed by students who are able to call themselves Lancers because of alumni support. If you have not yet had the chance and are able to join your classmates giving to the Endowed Scholarship Fund, please visit sfhs.com/alumnigiving19-20.
Below are emails from young alumni who are seeking summer internships. Please read the requests from your fellow Lancers and let me know if you have an opportunity that matches a request. The requests are also posted on our NEW Jobs & Internships board on our alumni page. It's powerful to see what can be accomplished by Lancers networking and extending a hand to fellow Lancers.
