Holy Week

Holy Week Spirituality- at Home and at Saint Francis

Sunday, April 1st marks the beginning of Holy Week 2023. For thousands of years the Church observed this week with extra detail, devotion, and celebration.

  • This is the week we commemorate Jesus’ last week on earth before his death and subsequent resurrection.
  • This is the week we look inward to the greatest act the world has ever known when Jesus, “laid down his life for his friends” (Jn. 15).
  • This is the week the priesthood and Eucharist are established.
  • This week the disciples were confused, scared, and afraid of what might come next.

At the end of this week hundreds of thousands will celebrate being brought into the Church through the Sacraments of Initiation.

Campus Ministry has put together a number of resources for you and your family to partake each day. In addition to the Web resources below we have a PDF for your family to print at pray through celebrating your 'domestic Church' during our most sacred time of year.

Blessings,
Campus Ministry Team
