at Saint Francis
As part of the Saint Francis High School social media program, we are excited to announce the launch of two new Instagram feeds: a “living” yearbook and a platform dedicated to our Visual and Performing Arts program. Together with the SFHS Athletics and Counseling social media channels, we will continue our mission of celebrating community, while building awareness for our school, leveraging apps our students use every day. Faculty and staff moderators will oversee the feeds and maintain exclusive posting privileges. Additionally, the commenting function will be disabled on Instagram.
Respecting every person is a core tenet of our mission and philosophy. As indicated by the Photograph or Videotape notice in the SFHS Student-Parent Handbook, “Saint Francis High School has the right to photograph or videotape parents, guardians, families and students and to use such photographs or videotapes to promote, advertise or publicize Saint Francis High School or its programs to the Saint Francis High School community and the public in general,” unless you choose to opt-out by filing a signed statement with the school.
If you would prefer your student NOT appear on SFHS social media channels, please opt-out by emailing Mrs. Holly Elkins, Executive Director of Institutional Advancement, on or before Monday, September 11.
As always, if concerns do arise, please report them to the Dean’s Office, or another trusted adult on campus, who will follow school protocol in addressing the concern.
The feeds will go live September 15 - opt-in by following along on Instagram:
