The Arts at Saint Francis
Visual and Performing Arts Philosophy
Blessed Basil Moreau, founder of the Congregation of Holy Cross, made teaching the Arts a priority for every school he founded. Since our founding in 1955, Saint Francis High School has carried on this tradition by offering a comprehensive visual and performing arts curriculum. Today, our thriving program attracts outstanding talent and develops the creative spirit in every student.
The Visual and Performing Arts department provides an educational environment that inspires, encourages and praises creativity while fostering the development of the whole person. The department provides creative experiences of breadth and depth in drama, music and the visual arts. The arts education program develops an aesthetic appreciation of nature, an awareness of and a positive attitude toward all people and cultures, and provides opportunities and experiences that validate individual expression and creative living.
