Driver Education

There are two ways to complete this state-required Driver Education course.


Driver Education, the four day state-required course for students to obtain their instruction permit will be offered this year at Saint Francis High School. Driver Education is a LIFE SKILL class. There is no substitute for the student-teacher interaction, discussion, video analysis, and instant feedback that takes place in the classroom. This course meets the state of Calif. requirement to obtain a driver’s instruction permit. The course is four days in length and will be offered June 4 - 7. Class hours are from 8:00am – 3:30pm. Upon completion of this course the student will receive a certificate of completion of Driver Education. Students any age can take the course but must be 15-1/2 to get the instruction permit. Students with busy schedules and extra curricular activities sometimes choose to fulfill their state-required Driver Education requirement by taking the course online.

The Online Drivers Education course is approved by the California Department of Motor Vehicles. Reading, flash graphics, videos, quizzes, and practice tests will prepare the reader to pass the written DMV test. Part of the tuition goes directly to Saint Francis High School.
