Volunteer Opportunities

You can choose from one of several easy ways to volunteer with the Saint Francis Women’s Club:

  1. During summer, you would have the opportunity to choose a job and sign up online.
  2. Meet your Committee Chairs and sign up in person in September at the first Women’s Club meeting of the year.
  3. Review the listings below to choose a committee job, then contact the chairs directly or sign up online – you may do this during the school year.
  4. For Christmas At Our House, sign up for a volunteer position at the Fall Women's Club meetings.

Volunteering at Saint Francis helps you become familiar with the school community and meet parents of your child's classmates. Depending on your availability and interests, there are countless ways to share your talents. Hundreds of parent volunteers help make Saint Francis the best school in the Bay Area. Join us today!

Alumni Involved Moms is a social community of women whose children attended Saint Francis. AIM exists to continue and extend the fellowship of the Saint Francis community beyond the high school years, primarily through social networking.

The Executive Board is elected annually by the Nominating Committee, meets regularly throughout the school year to discuss current issues and plan club improvements, and provides leadership for our club. Anyone is welcome to self-nominate and each winter all interested women are invited to apply or to recommend a good candidate. There are five new openings each year:

Vice-President: Year one: attend Women’s Club meetings and events and learn “the system” under tutelage of the current president. Year two: as President, preside over club meetings and events and direct club activity for the year. Year three: as Parliamentarian, attend meetings and events, serve as Nominating Chair.

Events Liaison: A one year commitment, the events liaison attends Women's Club meetings and communicates with Event Chairwomen, advising and guiding them when needed regarding publicity, venue, charges/registration, catering, etc. for events and reporting back to the Executive Board on the status of these events. She also helps the President and Vice-President to plan and execute Women’s Club Meetings.

Treasurer: A one year commitment, the treasurer attends Women’s Club meetings and events and keeps track of club income and expenditures. She does not have a checkbook and CAOH responsibilities are handled separately.

Spiritual Advisor: A one year commitment, she attends Women’s Club meetings and events and leads each with a prayer. She also organizes the Ash Wednesday Retreat and Mother-Daughter Mass along with chairwomen for the Mother/Daughter Brunch.

Communications Officer: A one year commitment, she attends Women’s Club meetings and events, takes notes at monthly Executive Board meetings, writes meeting minutes, and handles any necessary correspondence including congratulatory, condolence or get-well wishes.
