Tuition & Financial Aid
Saint Francis High School tuition for the 2016-2017 school year is $17,370. The tuition for the 2017-2018 school year has yet to be determined. The tuition will include a non-refundable initial payment of $1,000. This non-refundable $1,000 payment will be due Thursday, March 30, 2017 for incoming students and will be due May 5, 2017 for returning students.
Saint Francis seeks to make its education available to every eligible student who would benefit from a Catholic, Holy Cross education, no matter his/her financial status. Aid is granted on the basis of financial need with the amount of the award dependent upon the resources available. All entering students who apply for aid will be considered. Applying for financial aid has no bearing on the admission process.
Financial aid is granted solely on the basis of financial need and includes a work grant component that requires students to give tuition service hours back to the school. Work/Service hours will be scheduled to allow students to fully participate in normal school and extracurricular activities. Incoming freshmen will be exempt from service/work hours for their freshman year in the financial aid program.
All students enrolled in the financial aid program are required to perform their tuition service hours responsibly, cooperatively and maintain good grades and good citizenship. Recipients of tuition assistance are required to achieve at least a 2.0 GPA in all of their classes.
Each year, an online financial aid application is to be submitted by all families requesting consideration for financial aid. FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment will be conducting the financial need analysis for Saint Francis High School for the upcoming 2017-2018 school year. Families applying for financial aid will need to complete an application and submit the necessary supporting documentation to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment by February 6, 2017. Applicants can apply online by clicking the FACTS link below starting on December 9, 2016. Once an online application has been completed, the following information will need to be sent to FACTS to complete the application process:
* Copies of your most recent Federal tax forms including all supporting tax schedules.
* Copies of your 2016 W-2 and 1099 forms for both you and your spouse.
* Copies of supporting documentation for Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, Food Stamps, Workers' Compensation, and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).
* Pastor Verification Form (Catholic families within the San Jose Diocese only) - available for download here.
All supporting documentation can be uploaded in PDF format online.

Delays in completing the application or submitting the required documentation may result in less or no assistance awarded.
A communication of an award will accompany the acceptance notification March 17, 2017. Awards for returning students will be communicated in mid-April, 2017.
