Asynchronous Online Learning with Imagine Learning
Imagine Learning courses are asynchronous, available 24-7. If you are taking a semester-long course for advancement, you will have 3-weeks to complete it. If taking for credit recovery, you will have 5-weeks. If you want to take the course for enrichment only, you may have up to 9-weeks to complete the course. The courses are video-based instruction with embedded assignments, quizzes, and tests. Students are expected to work 4-6 hours daily in order to keep pace with these online courses.
Registering for Summer Online Courses through Imagine Learning
Upon entering Regpack, you may select online courses. If you are taking a course for remediation, select "Credit Recovery" when you register. Course A is labelled for the first semester, while Course B is labelled for the second semester. You need both Course A and Course B for advancement. You may select Course A or Course B if it is for remediation. Although the schedule is pre-set, you may email summer@sfhs.com to inquire about adjusting your course schedule. Please note the final exam dates that are required (in the FAQ above --> in the Schedule/Pacing above)
After registering, students' information will be communicated to Imagine Learning in May, and a representative of which will send login details to the student email used in registration in order to start their online course. Students will be able to begin their online course work as soon as the start date listed on Schedule/Pacing.
For a full description of the courses, please see Imagine Learning's Course Catalog. Please note that Summer at Saint Francis only offers the courses listed below. We do not offer the full scope of those listed in the Course Catalog.
NCAA Eligibility: The NCAA requires that students using online courses through Imagine Learning take summer courses of at least 3-weeks, limited to 2 subjects total, and cannot takes courses sequentially at the same time (ie: Spanish IA and Spanish IB; Algebra I and Algebra II). If you plan on playing NCAA sports do not enroll in courses for "credit recovery" as they will not be accepted by the NCAA.
