TEDxSaintFrancis

IN THE SPIRIT OF IDEAS WORTH SPREADING, TED HAS CREATED A PROGRAM CALLED TEDx.

TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxSaintFrancis, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxSaintFrancis event, live speakers and previous TED Talks will combine to spark connections and discussions. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

SAINT FRANCIS HIGH SCHOOL IS A MELTING POT OF STUDENTS AND THEIR PERSONALITIES, INTERESTS, AND TALENTS.

As a student body, we’re very proud of who we are and cherish the opportunity to share the variety of experiences we have as an opportunity for growth and connection. As a result, our event is entirely student-run and features only student speakers. We provide a platform for our peers and empower them to share their voices with the community, both within Saint Francis and beyond. We began as a homegrown event, SF Talks, in 2018, and after two very successful years, we are proud to be a TEDx event officially.

The 2020 event will host eleven talks, curated and polished by our student organizing team, on a variety of topics that showcase the power and vast impact of high school students. The talks will be accompanied by other media and performances as well as opportunities to interact with the speakers, truly demonstrating how Saint Francis talks!
