Requirements & Applying
Will applying for tuition assistance impact the admission decision?
No, the school makes no distinction between tuition assistance applicants and those who do not apply for tuition assistance when considering students for admission.
Should I wait until my child has been accepted before I apply for TA?
No, please DO NOT WAIT for decision notification from our school to apply for assistance. Your chance of receiving tuition assistance may be reduced if you miss the application deadline. Deadline is February 2, 2024.
I don’t think I will qualify for assistance. Should I apply anyway?
There are no set income guidelines or restrictions on who may apply for tuition assistance. If you have any questions about affordability you are encouraged to submit an application.
Do I need to apply for assistance each year?
Yes, families are required to apply each year. As long as the student remains at Saint Francis, tuition assistance will be renewed each year according to demonstrated need.
What is the policy regarding divorced / multiple household families?
Should both parents have financial responsibility for the student’s education, the income of both parents will be considered. If separated or divorced, each parent, step-parent or guardian must submit a tuition assistance application.
Are there requirements for students receiving tuition assistance?
All students who receive tuition assistance must meet the following requirements:
- Maintain a 2.0 GPA or above for all grading periods during the academic year.
- Students are encouraged to take advantage of every opportunity to thrive as a member of the Saint Francis community.
How do I apply for tuition assistance?
Families can apply online through FACTS at www.factsmgt.com. All information is entered through a secure server.
Is my financial information confidential?
All requests for tuition assistance and family financial information is held in strict confidence by Saint Francis High School. Saint Francis takes seriously its responsibility to maintain confidentiality over all tuition assistance information and records. Families are expected to keep their tuition assistance grants confidential and not discuss them with other families and/or students.
Who makes the decision on the amount of tuition assistance a family receives?
The educational institution granting assistance is responsible for determining the grant amount based on their calculations and the availability of funds. The analysis completed by FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment serves as a recommendation only.
Payment
When will tuition payments begin?
Tuition payments begin in July regardless of your payment plan.
Can I use funds from my 529 account to pay for high school tuition?
You can now use funds from your 529 account to pay for private elementary or high school tuition up to $10,000 per year.
Other Assistance Programs
Other than Saint Francis tuition assistance program, are there other scholarship opportunities?
- Bay Scholars Scholarship is $3,500 per year for 4 years of high school. Applications are on the Bay Scholars website.
- Daughters of Charity - please check with your elementary school for eligibility.
How do incoming 9th graders apply for the Bay Scholars scholarship?
