Affording a Saint Francis Education
At Saint Francis High School, we believe that a Holy Cross education should be accessible to all who seek it.
Rooted in our mission to develop students spiritually, intellectually and socially, we are committed to ensuring that financial circumstances are never a barrier to becoming part of our community.
Each year, we allocate $5.5 million in need-based grants to support our families, reinforcing our dedication to making a Saint Francis education possible for all. We understand that affordability is an important consideration, and we are here to partner with families every step of the way to make this transformative educational journey a reality.
Affordability & Financial Assistance
A Saint Francis education is an investment in your child’s future. Our tuition assistance program is designed to help bridge the gap between a family's financial resources and the cost of tuition. Tuition assistance is need-based, with the level of assistance determined through our partnership with Clarity, an independent third-party organization that evaluates each application.
We understand families may have concerns about the application process and the amount of assistance for which they may qualify. It’s important to note that all families, regardless of income level, are encouraged to apply for tuition assistance if they believe they may need support. There are no income restrictions, and each application is evaluated individually to determine the most appropriate level of assistance.
Students who receive tuition assistance are required to maintain a 2.0 GPA or above for all grading periods during the academic year and are encouraged to actively participate in our Saint Francis community to fully benefit from their educational experience.

Our Partnership with Clarity
![]() |
Saint Francis partners with Clarity to assess each family’s financial need through an independent and confidential process. The Clarity Application ensures fairness and transparency in determining the appropriate level of tuition assistance based on the financial information provided. This process allows us to fairly evaluate each family's unique situation and allocate assistance accordingly. |
All financial information submitted through the process is kept strictly confidential. We take our responsibility to protect this information seriously and expect families to maintain the confidentiality of their tuition assistance grants. The final decision on the amount of tuition assistance a family receives is made by the school, with Clarity's analysis serving as a recommendation, based on available funds.
How to Apply for Tuition Assistance
When considering students for admission at Saint Francis, we make no distinction between tuition assistance applicants and those who do not apply for assistance. We encourage families to apply for tuition assistance as soon as possible—do not wait for the admission decision to submit your application. Timely submission is important, as your chance of receiving assistance may be reduced if the application is submitted after the deadline, which is February 7, 2025.
There are no income restrictions for tuition assistance; all families are encouraged to apply, even if they believe they may not qualify. We understand that affordability is an important factor in your decision, and we are here to support you throughout the process. Families are required to apply for assistance each year, and as long as the student remains at Saint Francis, tuition assistance will be renewed annually based on demonstrated financial need.

To ensure fairness, both parents who have financial responsibility for the student’s education must submit a separate tuition assistance application. In cases of separation or divorce, each parent, step-parent, or guardian is required to submit their own application. To begin the process, please visit the Clarity Application website, where you can create an account and complete your application. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete and is mobile-friendly, allowing you to save your progress and return at any time.
If you need support during the process, in-app help is available, including email and phone support in both English and Spanish. Clarity support can be reached at: P: 206-210-3752 |
The deadline to complete your financial aid application and submit all required documents is February 7, 2025. | ![]() |
