Student Parking Information
Saint Francis High School is committed to maintaining a safe, organized, and respectful campus environment—including how we manage student parking. This page outlines the process and policies for student drivers, including registration, permits, carpooling, and temporary accommodations.
Who Can Park on Campus?
Parking on campus is currently limited to juniors and seniors with a valid California Driver License. Due to ongoing construction and limited availability, only one vehicle per family may be registered to park on campus.
All student drivers—regardless of parking availability—must register their vehicle with the school.
How to Register for a Parking Permit
Eligible students must complete the online registration through the Saint Francis High School Parking Registration System. Once submitted:
- Print the Parking Registration Confirmation
- Obtain a parent/guardian signature
- Bring the form to Registration Day in August to receive your parking permit
If a student is registering after Registration Day, they must bring the signed form to the Dean’s Office. Permits will only be issued in person and must be presented by the student driver. All fees are charged to the family’s tuition account.
Carpool Parking Permits
Students who drive at least one other student to school each day are eligible for a Carpool Parking Permit—available at a reduced fee. To qualify:
- The student must not have a provisional driver license
- Each driver in the carpool must register their own vehicle online
- After registering, students must visit the Dean’s Office in person to request access to the carpool lot
- A $15 fee will be charged to your tuition account
Carpooling helps reduce traffic, support sustainability efforts, and strengthen our community—thank you for participating!
Temporary and Special Circumstances
Driving a Different Vehicle
If a student needs to drive a different vehicle than the one registered, they must fill out a Temporary Parking Permit online, print it, and bring it to the Dean’s Office before school on the day they drive the alternate car. There is no fee for a temporary permit.
New Vehicles Without Plates
Students may not register a vehicle online until it has a license plate. In this case, visit the Dean’s Office to request a New Car Temporary Registration Form to avoid receiving a ticket. Once plates arrive, students may register online and receive a permanent permit.
Permit Extensions
If a temporary permit is close to expiring and permanent plates still have not arrived, students should return to the Dean’s Office for an extension.
Injured or Temporarily Disabled Students
If a student needs to park closer to campus temporarily due to an injury or medical need, a parent note should be submitted to the Dean’s Office specifying the reason and duration of the request.
Enforcement and Expectations
The Dean’s Office and campus security actively monitor student driving and parking behavior. All students are expected to follow school policies regarding vehicle registration, permit use, and respectful driving. Violations may result in disciplinary consequences.
How Can We Help?
Whether you’re registering for the first time, navigating a temporary situation, or need clarification about campus parking policies, the Dean’s Office is here to support you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re happy to assist with anything related to student parking, permits, or special circumstances.
