Helping to Support & Empower Students

At Saint Francis, we believe the journey beyond high school is a deeply personal one, shaped by each student’s values, passions, and aspirations.

Rooted in the Holy Cross tradition, we guide students to reflect on who they are, what they care about, and how they hope to serve the world. From that foundation, they explore colleges, universities, and other meaningful opportunities that align with their goals.

We welcome students and families into this process, encouraging open conversations and exploration. Sophomores connect with their college counselor to build a relationship of trust and guidance that will continue through their senior year. Rather than focusing immediately on applications and test scores, we take the time to understand each student as a whole person—empowering them to move forward with confidence, purpose, and a sense of possibility.

A student and a counselor sit smiling and talking in an office. A computer displays a website. The atmosphere is friendly and informal.

Through classroom presentations, group meetings, and one-on-one advising, students explore career and major interests, develop balanced college lists, and receive expert guidance on every step of the college application process—from essay writing to identifying colleges that align with their academic goals and personal interests.

Our counselors stay at the forefront of college admissions trends, regularly engaging in professional development and fostering strong relationships with college admissions officers. Each fall, over 100 colleges visit our campus, providing students with invaluable opportunities to connect with representatives and explore their options. With a comprehensive and personalized approach, our program ensures that students are well-prepared for their next steps, discovering college matches that matter for their future.
