Summer at Saint Francis is about more than camps or classes. We work hard to create a community that is welcoming, inclusive, innovative and fun. Our purpose is to serve the whole child. We welcome you to our campus!

Grades 1-6
Youth Sports & Activities Camps
Open to rising 1st - 6th graders from any school.
The Sports & Activity Camps are fun-filled week-long day camps that provide group instruction in a variety of sports including football, basketball, volleyball, street hockey, soccer, softball, track, lacrosse, water sports, picnic games, and court games. Campers may attend as many of the four available week-long sessions as they choose. The camp is staffed by Saint Francis High School faculty, alumni and students, and is dedicated to teaching teamwork, sportsmanship and positive self-esteem.
Grades 6-9
Discover@SFHS
Open to rising 6th - 8th graders.
Discover @SFHS is a summer camp on the Saint Francis campus that allows students to take learn by doing in an environment that prioritizes innovation, creativity and student creation. Each of our classes is centered on student creation rather than exclusively academic classes. Each day campers will meet, mingle and compete with other campers in an opportunity to play and make social connections.
Ave Crux
Open to selected rising 6th - 8th graders.
The Ave Crux Summer program is rooted in the tradition of Holy Cross and committed to providing intellectual and social enrichment for middle school students who:
- Are members of the first generation in their family to graduate from high school or college
- Have demonstrated a commitment to their own learning and growth
- Possess the potential to be academically and socially successful in a competitive college-prep program
- Have a demonstrated financial need
- Are members of underrepresented racial or ethnic groups, socio-economically disadvantaged, and/or at-risk students
This program prepares students for the next grade level. Students take Math, Science, and Reading courses with credentialed middle school teachers who provide direct instruction in small classes.
Advanced Sports
Open to rising 6th – 9th graders from any school.
Advanced Sports Camps are designed to provide players an opportunity to improve their skill and knowledge level of a particular sport. All camps are taught by Saint Francis High School coaches and most participants take the camp in our well-maintained state of the art athletic facilities. Review the schedule and descriptions for each camp below. Players are welcome to attend as many week-long camps as they desire.
Grades 9-12
Lancers Rising
Open to incoming SFHS freshmen.
Students meet some of their new classmates and teachers while learning and creating in a variety of academic and non-academic offerings. Morning camps focus on student production with some academic offerings. Students may participate in either Lancers Rising Afternoon Activities. Lancers Rising is entirely optional! All students will have the opportunity to participate in Freshman Connection Days in August.
High School Courses
Open to rising 8th – 12th graders from any school
We offer a variety of courses that mirror the Saint Francis college preparatory curriculum of the regular school year. As such, they are UC (a-g)/CSU and NCAA approved. The classes can be taken for advancement, remediation, or enrichment. All classes meet the graduation requirement in the subject area. Each semester course is taken in one Term and is worth 5 credits.
Online Courses
In partnership with Imagine Learning, Summer at Saint Francis offers flexible online high school courses, including college-preparatory core classes, in a wide range of subject areas, with most courses UC/CSU and NCAA approved. Classes provide interactive, media-rich educational opportunities in a flexible, student-centered learning environment to a diverse population of learners. Online teachers assess, give feedback, and are available for appointments however they do not teach the course live. This is an asynchronous learning platform. In person final exams are required if you are taking the course for credit.
Trigonometry Advancement
Students who meet certain Math Department requirements (see below) are eligible to take Geometry or Trigonometry for the purposes of advancement.
We offer summer Geometry for SFHS students currently in Algebra 1 and Trigonometry for SFHS students currently in Algebra 2.
Registration for Geometry and Trigonometry opens after spring break, in April. Eligible students and their guardians will be notified by the Summer High School Principal via Havalo email about the course opening for enrollment. Students need to update their information and pay with Regpack. Use the registration button below once you are notified that the course has been made public for purchase. Ample seats are set aside for Saint Francis students.
