The Journalism program supports the growing demand of media arts and literacy in the 21st century.

Through writing, editing, and publishing articles and photographs, students gain hands-on experience to cultivate critical-thinking skills and sharpen their ability to analyze and convey complex information. This process not only enhances their academic abilities but also prepares them for future endeavors in any field that values communication and analytical skills.

Students are engaged in multi-platform journalism, publishing in print, online, and social media. Students learn how to run their own programs, research, communicate, and market to several different audiences.

Our Journalism program boasts several awards and national recognition across scholastic press associations (National Scholastic Press Association, Columbia Scholastic Press Association, American Scholastic Press Association and Journalism Education Association of Northern California), honor societies (Quill & Scroll), and publishers (Varsity).

We strive to publish accurate and relevant content while maintaining diverse coverage of all facets of our community, from our entrepreneurial essence to our cultural vitality.
