Open to rising 6th – 8th graders from any school
Advanced Sports Camps are designed to provide players an opportunity to improve their skill and knowledge level of a particular sport. All camps are taught by Saint Francis High School varsity coaches and most participants take the camp in our well-maintained and up-to-date athletic facilities. Review the schedule and descriptions for each camp below. Players are welcome to attend as many week-long camps as they desire.
Note: Camps are open to only certain grades. All grades listed below are relate to a student's "rising" grade level, that is, the grade the student will be in the Fall.
Registration for Summer 2023 will open at 9 AM on Feb. 14!

Camp is designed to provide individual instruction and skills development in such areas as bunting, base running, hitting and infield and outfield fundamentals. Camp activities will include three days of individual skills station work with emphasis on proper fundamentals for all positions. Each camper will be exposed to the basic techniques required to play all positions on the diamond. The last two days are dedicated to competing in a variety of individual and team competitions that emphasize teamwork and fun on the baseball field.

Description
Advanced Camp is designed to provide individual instruction and skills development for each position. All camp participants will learn offensive and defensive techniques, and the camp will culminate with a 7 on 7 passing game. The camp is a non-contact camp, but participants will be provided both shoulder pads and helmets.

Description
The SFHS Advanced soccer camp is highly recommended for players entering 6-8th grades. If you want to play soccer at the next level and think you have what it takes, this is the camp for you. Not only will this camp allow technical development of your skills, it will also give you a taste of what high school soccer is all about on one of the most beautiful campuses in the bay area. You will train using many of the same methods and facilities that the Saint Francis team uses, interact daily with the current players and coaches.The training sessions will cover such topics as dribbling, passing and receiving, JUGGLING and finishing. Campers will spend quality time with the ball at their feet. Small sided games, with low numbers in appropriate space, will be included to promote more touches on the ball.All players will also have the opportunity to play in a full game setting.

This camp introduces various training techniques to maximize athletic performance. Training sessions will focus on improving speed, power, agility, and dynamic flexibility. This camp is designed and overseen by a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). All campers must wear appropriate athletic clothes (shirt and shorts that don't restrict movement and have no metal) and closed-toe shoes (no cleats).

Description
Wrestling - This camp will focus on skill development in folkstyle wrestling. Camp will include instruction in: footwork, stance, techniques for more advanced leg attacks, defensive drills for the bottom wrestler and offensive pinning techniques for the on-top wrestler. Activities will include: wrestling skill based games, individual and group instruction and an opportunity to compete against their peers. No experience is necessary and instruction will be matched to the experience of participants.
