We've reached our first grading checkpoint of the year. Six-week Academic Progress reports were emailed to parents and students on October 1. This is a great moment to celebrate what's going well and to talk with your student about what's next.
Didn't see the email?
Progress reports come from our reporting system's email provider rather than the school's email, so they sometimes land in spam. Please check your spam or junk folder, and add brightarrow.com to your safe sender list so future reports arrive in your inbox. We're also piloting Doc Viewer in Schoology as another place to view your student's Progress Reports and Semester Report cards.
Introducing our new Grading & Progress Reports page
We know grades can feel like a big deal, so we've created a new page that brings everything together in one place. You'll find:
- How the grading year works, including our three checkpoints each semester and why only semester grades appear on the transcript
- What's in the six-week report and why some grades may still change as revisions are completed
- How progress reports connect to extracurricular eligibility
- A note for families of seniors about what is (and isn't) shared with colleges
- Practical ideas for supporting your student if a grade raises questions
- When and how to reach out to teachers and counselors

Keep in mind a progress report is a snapshot in time, not the final word. If something surprises you, start by talking with your student and looking in Schoology for more context. If you still have questions, teachers are always happy to hear from you by email (you'll find the directory on the Parent Dashboard, and counselors are a great resource for broader concerns.
Thank you for your continued partnership. We're in this together, and we look forward to seeing you on campus soon!
