Multicultural Week - Friday, January 16 - Friday, January 23.

Join us for an honor and celebration of diverse cultures, identities, faiths, and traditions that make our Lancer community so special. Enjoy a variety of activities all week hosted by our affinity groups! Come discover, learn, and connect as we honor the richness of our shared world.

Fri. Jan. 16: Black Student Union, Filipino-American Student Union, and Pride Student Union 

• Lunch: Kahoot in Dining Commons and Streetball tournament in Alumni Gym!  
• If you would like to form a team to play in the bball tournament, make sure to fill out this form by Thursday, January 15! 
• First 4 Cook-Off Event @ 6pm in Dining Commons: Come kick off Multicultural Week with us and see which affinity group will win the cook-off!  This event is hosted by our First 4 Affinity Groups to exist at SF: Black Student Union, Filipino-American Student Union, Tagata Pasifika, and Latiné Student Union! There will be good food, fun games, and good company! 

Mon. Jan. 19: No School in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 

Tues. Jan. 20: Lusafóno Student Association and Intersectional Feminist Student Association 

• Special lunch menu featuring Portuguese food and maternal figures within the Portuguese community! 
• After school: Join us in the quad for street soccer 

Wed. Jan. 21: Jewish Student Association, Muslim Student Association, and Middle Eastern Student Union 

• Everyone is invited to dress in formal cultural attire in honor of our Interfaith Multicultural Prayer Service happening during the activity period 
• Lunch: Keychain clay making in Sobrato Commons!  Come make customized keychains and learn about important symbols in Jewish, Muslim, and Middle Eastern cultures 
• Cultural Heritage Night @ 4:30pm in Quad/Sobrato Porch: Wear jerseys/shirts that represent your culture and heritage! Enjoy some snacks, activities, and fellowship before heading out to cheer on our girls soccer team against Sacred Heart Cathedral 

Thurs. Jan. 22: Asian Student Association, Hindu Student Association, and South Asian Student Association 

• Lunch: Make paper lanterns, lotuses, and nazar bracelets in the quad & come to Sobrato Commons to enjoy biscuits and tea (barley, chai, chrysanthemum, oolong, and oi ocha)  Special guest: choir 

Fri. Jan. 23: Latiné Student Union and Tagata Pasifika

• Lunch: Play games from Latin and Polynesian cultures in the quad while enjoying cultural music! 
• Night Market & International Showcase starting @ 5pm in Quad:  Our week will culminate in our first-ever Night Market hosted by our affinity groups!  Enjoy a variety of food and drinks.  Each ticket is $1.  Afterwards, join us for our annual International Showcase @ 7pm in Graham Theater with student performances representing cultures and traditions from all over the world

• January 29 - 6:00pm: Triple Collab! FASU x SFHS Athletics x Lancer Band at the Boys Basketball game vs. Bellarmine! Celebrate Filipino Heritage Night and come through!
