Hey Lancers!! Are you interested in editing articles, art, or photography? 🖋️✨🖼️ 📸 Do you want to help produce a quality publication? Applications for section and art editors and a social media manager for The Lancer are now open and available here. All applicants must submit a paper copy of their application to Mr. Carroll in Room 523 and email a digital copy to Chiefs.Lancer by 2:30 p.m. sharp on Friday, August 28. Reminder: this application is for those seeking to be editors or a social media manager for the newspaper—signups for writers, artists and photographers will be during the Activity Fair. National Honor Society (NHS)

Applications are now available for the National Honor Society, which recognizes students for outstanding scholarship, character, leadership, and service. To qualify, you must be a junior or senior with a cumulative weighted GPA of at least 3.5 and a weighted GPA of 3.5 or higher from the previous semester. Ideally, applicants should have a clean disciplinary record over the past calendar year, however, students who served no more than one In-House Reflection can be considered for membership. Applications must be submitted no later than midnight Friday, August 28th. Existing/current NHS members need not re-apply. Please email Ms. Nassir  with any questions. California Scholarship Federation (CSF) 

CSF isn't just a club; it’s one of the best ways to prove your commitment to academic excellence, service, and leadership, and walk across the stage at graduation wearing an official honor cord or stole. But remember: membership does NOT roll over automatically. You have to apply every single semester to stay on track for Life Membership!

The deadline to submit your application is September 3. Don't leave your hard work on the table—apply for CSF today!"

Intramurals

Ready to hit the field? Flag Football Intramurals are coming up!  Grab your friends, put together a team, and get ready for some friendly competition, teamwork, and fun. Sign ups begin now and run through 9/4 with games beginning 9/8. If you have any questions please contact Mr. Fullerton. Varsity Football and Flag Football players may not play intramural Flag Football.
