Saint Francis High School is excited to announce the appointment of Caitlin Curran Kavanagh as its new Chief Advancement Officer. With a career devoted to expanding access to Catholic education and fostering meaningful partnerships, Caitlin has both a strong track record of leadership and a deep commitment to Holy Cross mission.
Caitlin brings over two decades of experience in education and nonprofit leadership. Most recently, she served as the Executive Director of Bay Scholars, a nonprofit dedicated to providing scholarships and support to Bay Area students pursuing Catholic college-prep education. Under her leadership, Bay Scholars expanded its reach, helping thousands of students access transformative academic opportunities. Prior to that, Caitlin served as Admissions Director and Psychology Teacher at Convent of the Sacred Heart High School in San Francisco, where she gained deep experience in both community engagement and student support.
As Chief Advancement Officer, Caitlin will serve as a key partner to the President and Board of Directors. In her role, Caitlin will also oversee strategic fundraising, deepen alumni and parent engagement and lead the advancement teams in strengthening the culture of philanthropy at Saint Francis.
“We are thrilled to welcome Caitlin to Saint Francis,” said Jason Curtis, President of Saint Francis High School. “Her passion for Catholic education and her dedication to connecting people with purpose makes her the right leader to guide our advancement efforts. She will be instrumental in building partnerships with donors to provide opportunities that will prepare our students for lives of impactful leadership and service.”
I believe high school is a sacred time and a season of growth, curiosity and transformation. Supporting students at this pivotal moment is among the most meaningful and enduring work we can do. What excites me about Saint Francis is its mission to educate the whole person, mind and heart, while preparing young people to live with purpose, integrity and care for others. For me, the best advancement work feels like ministry. It connects, uplifts and makes room for possibility. I look forward to building on the school’s momentum and working alongside a passionate and mission-driven community.
