Mountain View Public Library Student Connect Card
Saint Francis High School is excited to partner with the Mountain View Public Library to provide students with free full access to their digital resources. Known as the Student Connect Card, this library digital access uses students' school identifications as a digital library card and includes 24-hour remote access to authoritative databases in multiple academic disciplines. The Student Connect Card will support school coursework and assignments, extending available resources for classroom learning and independent enrichment. Digital resources include ebooks, audiobooks, streaming video, magazines, newspapers, and extracurricular courses.
In order to make these digital resources available to your student, Saint Francis High School will share the following information with the Mountain View Public Library:
- Student school identification number
- First and last name
- Student school email address
The information exchanged is subject to California State student privacy laws.
Parents and/or guardians who do not wish for their child(ren) to receive the Student Connect Card are asked to respond on this Opt Out form by August 29.
For students receiving a Student Connect Card, it will remain active while the student is enrolled at Saint Francis High School and carry over from each enrolled year.
While the Student Connect Card will grant your student full access to digital content offered by the Mountain View Public Library, parents/guardians have the right and responsibility to guide the reading, viewing, and listening of their children.
Students who wish to check out physical materials from the Mountain View Public Library can use or apply for a regular library card in addition to their Student Connect Card. Students may apply for a free regular card directly with the Mountain View Public Library.
